Lost Creek traditionally celebrates the holiday season in December with beautiful decorations and everyone is invited to help “Light Up Lost Creek”. A committee of judges select the best outside decorated homes and decide the winners of the 1st place Clark Griswold trophy and 1st / 2nd / 3rd place Clark Griswold Award NALCE Light Up Lost Creek Contest Yard Flag. Winners and photographs are posted on the NALCE web site.
NALCE presents the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners with a Clark Griswold Award NALCE Light Up Lost Creek Contest Flag. The flag is placed in each winner's yard and will remain until around the first part of January of the New Year. In addition, the 1st place winner is presented with the Clark Griswold Award NALCE Light Up Lost Creek Contest 1st Place Trophy and will remain in their possession through the year and will relinquished to the next year’s selected 1st place winner.
There are so many really great decorated houses that we always have several honorable mentions.

Each year surrounding neighbors come to Lost Creek to find great deals on items such as furniture, toys, clothing and much more. We've had as many as 62 sales in the neighborhood!
Since 2005, Lost Creek homeowners have participated in an annual neighborhood wide garage sale. A committee is organized and a date is selected, usually in April. The garage sale information is advertised in different media.

Beginning May 1 through November 1 of the year, those residence who strive to keep their yards beautiful are awarded the Yard of the Month Keeping Lost Creek Beautiful Award Yard Flag, and the monthly winners are posted on the NALCE web site.

Since 2000, each 4th of July, Lost Creek residents celebrate Independence Day with a festive parade through the neighborhood. Parade participants line up at the corner of Lost Creek Blvd and River View Way.
The parade, led by our own Station 23 Fort Worth Fire Engine and Fort Worth Police Mounted Patrol begins at 10 am. After the parade, residents enjoy a hot dog buffet and other festive foods.
Residents are invited to enter their favorite dessert in the Fabulous Lost Creek Sweetie Pie Baking Contest. In the beginning, the winner was awarded a sack of flour and the official Sweetie Pie Chef’s Hat.
Every year brings more entries and more fun and excitement.
October 2011 marked the first year Lost Creek residents began celebrating Halloween by hosting Trunk or Treat. Ghosts and scary people to take over Lost Creek Estates for a little while in the evening. At a specially designated location, neighbors park their cars in the and decorate the car trunks very artistically and scary! Lost Creek children don their costumes and trick or treat at each Trunk!! And there are fun festivities for the kids too!

It's the wintery tradition that brings joy and delight to those who have been nice! Even though the Christmas season is so busy, we still take time out to have Breakfast With Santa. Jolly old St Nick himself and Mrs. Claus make a special stop at a residence of their choosing in Lost Creek.
Kids of Lost Creek Estates are invited to spend some time with Santa and whispering in his ear of what they might want for Christmas. Along with the great meet and greet with the Santa and Mrs. Claus, families can enjoy delicious breakfast treats. It's a great Lost Creek tradition!
