The median and flag poles at the entrance are maintained by the neighborhood association. The flags

they should be up, please call one of the NALCE Officers for assistance.
REGARDING SAFETY AND SECURITY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Lost Creek is proactive when it comes to maintaining a safe and secure community. Neighborhood
safety depends on participation and many of our residents do their part. Most of the homes in Lost
Creek have security systems and or motion detection lighting. Also, the neighborhood Citizens on Patrol
program is an invaluable tool in Lost Creek’s arsenal against crime.
Lost Creek is a tightly knit neighborhood, our neighbors look outside when they hear something
unusual.
Lost Creek residents know their neighbors, which cars they drive and notice a car that
doesn’t belong in their neighborhood. We have an excellent Neighborhood Patrol Officer and a
dedicated police department that patrols our streets. In addition, the residents in Lost Creek donated
a high tech surveillance system to document the traffic in Lost Creek. The neighborhood participates
in NEXTDOOR, a social networking program that provides real time notification and alerts when
there is a threat or concern. All of these tools add up to as safe a crime deterrent system any city and
neighborhood can reasonably provide. If you have questions concerning the security systems in Lost
Creek, contact the current NALCE President.
HOW TO I GET INVOLVED IN THE COPS PROGRAM
The Lost Creek Citizens on Patrol is always looking for new members. To volunteer you must be over 18 years of age and willing to donate a minimum of four (4) hours per month to the patrol’s base station or patrol function. A sixteen (16) hour training program is provided by the Fort Worth Police Department. Not everyone is required to patrol. Many of our volunteers function as base radio operators from their home.
